Angela Pak
Profile
Ms. Pak represents and counsels employers in a variety of labor and employment matters, including the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Title VII, the California Family Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and federal and California wage and hour issues. In the area of litigation, Ms. Pak defends employers against claims of discrimination and harassment based on disability, race, age, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, and other protected classes, as well as claims of wrongful termination and retaliation. Ms. Pak also represents employers in wage and hour litigation, including class actions involving claims of misclassification of employees, and meal and rest period violations, waiting time penalties and other purported wage and hour violations.
Mr. Pak has extensive experience defending employers in state and federal court, and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and various other state and federal agencies.
Ms. Pak also provides advice and counseling to employers on all areas of employment law, including personnel policies, wage and hour compliance, classification of exempt status, employee discipline, internal investigations and litigation avoidance.
While in law school, Ms. Pak received the Judge Robert H. Schnacke Scholarship and served as an Extern for the Hon. Phyllis J. Hamilton, United States District Court, Northern District of California.
