Bio:
Mr. Homma has been conducting US employment law seminars for Japanese business people in the United States since he was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1996. He regularly presents seminars not only in Indiana but also in major cities such as New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Cincinnati.
Mr. Homma has been practicing law mainly in the areas of employment laws and business immigration. He counsels Japanese companies in the United States with regard to employment issues such as workplace discrimination and harassment, and involuntary termination of employment. He also handles E, L and H-1B visa petitions for Japanese clients.
Mr. Homma has had considerable business experience in Japan. He joined Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. in 1973 immediately after he graduated Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo. He worked in the human resources department and residential condominium development group in Hiroshima from 1973 through 1983. Mr. Homma was appointed as the executive assistant to the President and CEO of Mitsui Fudosan in 1983 and served in that capacity for six years. He left Mitsui Fudosan in 1991 to go to law school in the United States after he served as manager of the business planning section in urban residential development department for two years. Mr. Homma received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1994 from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. |
