Bio:
Mr. Chow joined the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina, office in 2008, where he focuses his practice on immigration and employment matters. Mr. Chow received his J.D. degree in 2008 from Vanderbilt University Law School. While in law school, Mr. Chow served as the President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, held a seat on the Mock Trial Executive Board, and was a recipient of the Vanderbilt Scholastic Excellence Award in 2007. Prior to law school, Mr. Chow graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina.
Mr. Chow handles the following matters:
- Assists employers with obtaining immigrant and nonimmigrant visas for their foreign employees.
- Counsels clients on immigration-related employment matters including I-9 compliance, E-Verify, and compliance with Department of Labor regulations.
- Assists employers with the defense against charges of immigration-related unfair employment practices including citizenship status discrimination, document abuse, and retaliation.
- Assists in litigation and mediation of employment law cases in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.
