Bio:
Mark Burak has an active employment litigation practice, focusing on the defense of employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Mr. Burak has successfully handled cases involving virtually the entire spectrum of employment related laws, with a particular emphasis on discrimination laws. Mr. Burak also has a dynamic counseling practice, advising employers in all facets of employment law, including policy development, separation issues, employment law audits and investigations, as well as providing training on a variety of areas, including sexual harassment, diversity and disability leave laws. Mr. Burak’s clients span a number of industries, including high technology, bio-tech, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, finance, services and non-profit organizations.
Mr. Burak is active in the legal community. He is currently a member of the Steering Committee for the Boston Bar Association Labor and Employment Section. Mr. Burak is a frequent presenter, speaking on employment law related topics for various bar associations, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and trade groups. Mr. Burak is co-author of Employment Law Guide: A Practical Guide to Understanding Massachusetts Employment Law, published by the Boston Bar Association in 2008. Mr. Burak is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, and has been recognized by American Law and Politics Magazine in 2007 and 2008 as a “Super Lawyer,” ranked in the top five percent of employment lawyers in New England. |
