Bio:

Asheesh Agarwal focuses his practice on civil rights matters, government investigations, and appellate work.  Prior to joining Ogletree, Asheesh served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he oversaw the Employment, Education, and Voting Sections.  Asheesh also has experience with many other state and federal agencies.  Earlier in his career, Asheesh held senior positions in the Federal Trade Commission and in the Civil Division of the Justice Department, where he advised numerous other agencies on litigation and regulatory matters.

Asheesh is also an experienced appellate advocate and civil litigator.  He has argued almost a dozen cases in federal circuit court and has worked on several briefs for the U.S. Supreme Court.  In addition, Asheesh has litigated several employment class actions and other civil rights cases.
