John K. Anderson

Profile

Mr. Anderson has extensive experience in labor and employment law. He has represented diverse clients throughout the United States in virtually all aspects of labor and employment law. He has represented clients in federal and state courts, including appellate courts. He has also represented clients before various governmental agencies, including the NLRB, the EEOC, the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor, the OFCCP, and various state and local agencies. He has frequently been a speaker at seminars and conferences. Mr. Anderson is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.

Mr. Anderson was a staff member of President Nixon's Economic Stabilization Program from 1972 to 1974, serving as Assistant General Counsel of the Pay Board (subsequently the Cost of Living Council). He has also received training as a mediator.

  • Preventive counseling to assist clients in reducing exposure to both labor and employment law issues
  • Acquisitions, mergers, restructuring/downsizing, and plant closings
  • Union organizing campaigns and decertification elections
  • Management training in handling discipline, possible discrimination, and remaining union-free
  • Counseling on contingent workforce issues, including the use of independent distributors
  • Alternative dispute resolution, including peer review and mediation
