Leah S. Freed

Profile

Ms. Freed represents both public and private sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment litigation including workplace investigations, disciplinary issues, non-compete agreements and separation agreements. Ms. Freed has experience defending employment-related lawsuits in state and federal courts involving allegations of employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with  Disabilities Act and various state-law claims.  In addition, she represents clients in administrative proceedings before the EEOC, the Arizona Civil Rights division, and other state and federal agencies.  She also handles mediations and arbitrations.

Ms. Freed also advises employers with respect to litigation avoidance and compliance with state and federal employment laws, developing personnel policies, drafting employment contracts, and advising regarding leave, accommodation, downsizing, discipline and termination issues.
