Luci L. Nelson
Profile
Luci Nelson joined Ogletree Deakins in 2008. She focuses her practice on assisting and counseling clients with a variety of labor and employment litigation matters, with particular concentration on defending employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful discharge law suits.
While in law school, Ms. Nelson served as an Articles Editor for the Federal Courts Law Review, received the CALI award for excellent achievement in Employment Discrimination Law, and performed over 60 hours of pro bono legal service as a Guardian ad Litem.
Experience
Luci engages in active litigation on behalf of management including drafting EEOC position statements for a fire protection system company; EEOC mediation for a large intermodal container manufacturer; handling day-to-day discovery in complex, document intensive commercial litigation matters; drafting discovery motions for a national building supply company; drafting dispositive motions for employment discrimination and retaliation cases for medical transcription service and major grocery store chain; and creating multi-state surveys.
