Profile
Marrian S. Chang, an associate, represents and counsels employers in all aspects of litigation filed in state and federal court, as well as before state and federal administrative agencies. Marrian defends employers in a variety of labor and employment matters, including the California Fair Employment & Housing Act, Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and federal and California wage and hour issues.
Marrian is admitted to practice in California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Central, Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California. Marrian also served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Kathleen March.
Experience
Marrian has defended employers against claims of discrimination and harassment based on race, age, gender, national origin, disability, and other protected classes, as well as claims of wrongful termination and retaliation. Marrian also represents employers in claims of wage and hour violations and breach of contract.
Marrian has also advised and counseled employers regarding employee handbooks, personnel policies, wage and hour compliance, reasonable accommodations, leave issues, internal investigations, lay-offs, severance negotiations, and other employment practices.
