Nyoki T. Sacramento

Profile

Nyoki T. Sacramento is an associate in the San Francisco office of Ogletree Deakins.  She represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, and breach of contract matters.  Ms. Sacramento also advises and counsels employers regarding various employment issues and practices, including employment agreements, protected leaves of absence, personnel policies, disability accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and employee discipline and termination.

Ms. Sacramento received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall School) in 2005.  While in law school, Ms. Sacramento received American Jurisprudence Awards in Constitutional Law, Contracts, Legal Research & Writing, and Torts.  She also served as the Director of Alumni Relations for the Law Students of African Descent and was a member of the African-American Law & Policy Report

Experience

Experience: 

Ms. Sacramento has extensive experience defending employers in state and federal courts, involving a variety of complex disputes, including class action lawsuits.  She has defended several employers against claims of wrongful termination, disability discrimination, failure to accommodate, sex discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations.  She has also defended and prosecuted actions involving claims of trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, and other business torts. 

Additionally, Ms. Sacramento has experience advising and counseling employers regarding employment agreements, protected leaves of absence, personnel policies, reasonable accommodations, protected leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, employee discipline and termination, and other personnel matters.
