Robert F. Seidler, Jr.

Profile

Mr. Seidler devotes his practice exclusively to the representation of employers in the employment law arena.  He consults with employers of all sizes to help them comply with the plethora of state and Federal employment laws that affect the workplace, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and Title VII.  Mr. Seidler frequently conducts onsite trainings and seminars to ensure that clients avoid common (and not-so-common) employment pitfalls. He works closely with his clients to help them identify issues before they become problems, and solve problems after they arise.  He regularly assists employers with developing and reviewing employee handbooks, personnel policies, employment contracts, noncompete agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents.  Mr. Seidler also advises employers on immigration compliance issues related to Form I-9 requirements.

Mr. Seidler’s litigation experience includes representing employers in defending claims arising out of the FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, wrongful discharge claims, breach of contract claims and in non-competition litigation.

Mr. Seidler is a frequent author and speaker on employment law related topics.

Experience

Experience: 
  • Obtained multiple favorable summary judgment rulings for large health care client on claims including race and gender discrimination
  • Obtained favorable walk-aways for several clients, including a large pharmacy chain, following depositions of plaintiffs
  • Represented services-industry client in federal wage and hour audit and achieved resolution favorable to client
  • Defended construction industry client against prevailing wage claims
