Shira L. Krieger
Profile
Shira Lazinger Krieger counsels and represents employers in labor and employment matters. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Ms. Krieger served as law clerk to the Honorable Kenneth S. Levy, Presiding Judge for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division - General Equity Part, Essex Vicinage, where she performed extensive legal research and analyzed and drafted memoranda on motions and orders to show cause in labor and employment law cases, as well as complex commercial, real property and foreclosure matters.
Ms. Krieger graduated cum laude from The George Washington University and The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. During law school, Ms. Krieger was a member of the Catholic University Law Review and was a Catholic University, Columbus School of Law Scholar in 2009. Ms. Krieger’s interest in the area of labor and employment law began while she was a student in law school. During law school, Ms. Krieger had an internship with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New York District Office, which provided her with an opportunity to learn about the handling of an employment discrimination case from an administrative agency perspective. Ms. Krieger also had the opportunity to work on employment law matters as a legal intern with the Chief Counsel’s office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
