Sunita P. Shirodkar

Profile

Sunita Shirodkar received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2008.  While attending Vanderbilt, Ms. Shirodkar competed on the moot court team and served as President of the South Asian Law Students Association.

Ms. Shirodkar’s practice focuses primarily in the area of labor and employment law, representing employers before state and federal courts, and before a variety of administrative agencies. Ms. Shirodkar has participated in the defense of employers in many aspects of employment litigation, including charges of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, workers’ compensation, covenants not to compete, and wage and hour claims.  In addition to litigation, she has helped draft employee handbooks and various employment policies and practices.

Experience

Experience: 
  • Helped successfully obtain an arbitration award for national automotive company in a matter involving several claims of discrimination
  • Obtained summary judgment and dismissal of employment and common-law claims against Texas-based packaging company
