Susannah P. Mroz
Profile
Ms. Mroz represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law. She has represented employers in discrimination and other litigation before state and federal courts, claims filed with the EEOC and other agencies, and labor arbitrations.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ms. Mroz received her undergraduate degree from Calvin College. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, summa cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Mroz participated in moot court and served as the Executive Articles Editor of the Indiana Law Review.
Experience
Representative experience:
- Conducting sexual harassment investigation for educational employer
- Serving as second chair in bench trial of Title VII disparate impact claim, after which the court awarded no damages to the plaintiffs
- Representing clients at three interest arbitrations to determine contract terms for collective bargaining agreements
- Obtaining summary judgment for manufacturing client in two race harassment, discrimination, and retaliation lawsuits
- Obtaining dismissal of FMLA retaliation lawsuit for health care client
- Assisting employers in formulating a variety of employment policies, with a particular focus on FMLA policies
