Trina R. Le Riche

Profile

Ms. Le Riche concentrates her practice in the areas of Labor and Employment Law.  Her employment litigation experience includes defending employers against claims of race, gender, disability and age discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, FMLA claims, and wage and hour violations before federal and state courts and various administrative agencies.  Ms. Le Riche also has experience defending employers in collective and class action matters.  Further, Ms. Le Riche has second-chair jury trial and arbitration experience and significant first-chair mediation experience.

Ms. Le Riche currently represents a large Missouri school district and has successfully handled numerous charges and lawsuits and matters involving a wide range of topics such as negligent misrepresentation, fraud, employment contracts, as well as various discrimination claims.  Ms. Le Riche has successfully enforced restrictive covenants in state courts, and regularly drafts and counsels employers on enforcing such restrictive covenants.  She has extensive experience counseling clients in litigation avoidance, FMLA and ADA matters, negotiating and drafting severance agreements, conducting on-site workplace investigations, presenting training seminars and speaking to employers on avoiding workplace liability.

In addition, Ms. Le Riche has extensive experience structuring large scale reductions in force for multi-state employers.  She also has extensive experience handling plant shutdowns, mass layoffs and other events triggered under the WARN Act.  She has regularly counseled large entities engaging in a stock or asset purchase deal on analyzing and quantifying certain employment risks involving mergers, acquisitions and the sale of businesses.  Ms. Le Riche has represented employers in numerous diverse industries in almost all states.

Experience

Experience: 

Ms. Le Riche obtained summary judgment in a pregnancy discrimination case for a large retailer.  She has obtained numerous dispositive dismissals and summary judgments.  She has won dispositive motions for claims of employment contract violations, and obtained summary judgment in a race discrimination case for a large auto parts manufacturer.
