Program Description:
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has issued its final rule requiring all employers covered by the National Labor Relations Act—that includes both union and non-union employers—to post a notice informing employees of their protected rights under the Act. This includes the right to form or join unions, engage in collective bargaining, and strike, picket or engage in other concerted activity.
Some employers have described this notice as “How to Form a Union in Your Workplace—101” since it provides a road map for union organizing. Others are concerned that the aggressive advice in the notice will cause employees to take actions that would exceed statutory protections and lead to lawful discipline.
Still other employers are unclear about their obligations and the consequences of their failure to comply, including the issuance of a newly-created unfair labor practice charge, among others. All of these issues and more will be addressed during this informative webinar.
