Justin Dean is Of Counsel in the firm’s Kansas City office, with extensive experience advising all levels of management on a wide range of personnel matters and compliance with employment laws such as Title VII, the ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA and USERRA. Justin also has conducted and/or directed investigation of numerous employment-related complaints and provided training to management on employment laws, harassment prevention, performance counseling, documentation and related issues.
In addition to his extensive employment counseling work, Justin has experience defending a variety of employment-related claims before state and federal courts and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Prior to joining the firm, Justin served as Assistant General Counsel for a large financial institution where his work was focused primarily on employment-related matters. He also previously practiced as a member of the Business Litigation and Employment Litigation and Policy groups at an international, full-practice law firm and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nanette K. Laughrey, U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Missouri.
