Michael Nader is Of Counsel with the San Francisco office of Ogletree Deakins. He has extensive experience representing management in employment litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. He specializes in defending wage and hour class actions, as well as trade secret misappropriation and employee mobility claims. He also defends management in cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, fraud, and breach of contract claims.
Experience
Mike has extensive experience advising management on a range of employment issues, including wage and hour compliance, the protection of trade secrets, employee recruiting and hiring, employment agreements, personnel policies, leaves of absence, employee classifications, performance management, severance agreements, and preventing harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
Mike is also an experienced appellate advocate, having won several appeals in state and federal appellate courts.
Mike has also conducted numerous training programs for managers on topics such as managing within the law, essential personnel policies, new employment laws, social media and the workplace, and preventing harassment and discrimination in the workplace. He has trained senior executives and managers in various industries, including high-technology, manufacturing, transportation, and entertainment companies.
Mike served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Rudolph T. Randa of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin from 1998 to 1999, and for the Honorable Daniel A. Manion of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit from 1999 to 2001.
