Zachary C. Glaser practices in the areas of employment litigation and commercial litigation, handing matters in state and federal courts, in private arbitration and on appeal. His employment litigation experience includes enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, federal and state unfair competition claims and various trade secrets. Mr. Glaser’s commercial litigation experience includes business torts, a variety of contract disputes involving software development and licensing agreements, lending, franchise and distribution, e-commerce, trademarks, copyrights and patents. Mr. Glaser also represents a variety of healthcare providers in malpractice cases, regulatory appeals and commercial disputes. In addition, Mr. Glaser counsels clients in various aspects of risk management, including electronic document management, internal investigations, and pre-litigation cost containment.
Mr. Glaser is a 2000 cum laude graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he was a member of Temple's National Trial Team and the Political and Civil Rights Law Review, and a graduate of Georgetown University.
Experience
- Obtained a decision from the Pennsylvania Superior Court that upheld a trial court's determination that a software vendor did not have any intellectual property interests in an independent system operator's invention of multiple-bank branding on a single automated teller machine (ATM) because there was no evidence of mutual intent to create a joint venture rather than a contractor-subcontractor relationship.
- Represented a food services vendor in various actions to enforce non-competition agreements against former managers and in tortuous interference claims against competitors attempting to acquire its clients by poaching managers.
- Represented a web design firm accused of tortuous interference and theft of trade secrets in connection with the hiring of a software developer from a competitor.
