Shareholder   |   Dallas

For more than 30 years, Andy has been a trusted, strategic adviser to companies throughout the country in a full range of labor and employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, class and collective actions, leaves of absence, employment agreements and policies, union campaigns, collective bargaining, unfair labor practices, and workplace safety. Andy is also an experienced and highly sought after mediator and trial lawyer with an extensive and varied background in employment law, health law, and commercial matters.

Andy is a shareholder in the firm’s Dallas office, where he also heads the Texas Restrictive Covenants Practice Group, focusing on non-compete and trade secret litigation. He regularly represents companies and individuals in injunction proceedings relating to these matters.

Andy regularly advises employers on complying with the myriad laws affecting today’s workplace, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (wage and hour), the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII, and similar state discrimination statutes. He also advises employers regarding traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, unfair labor practice charges, and grievance arbitrations. In addition, he has extensive experience litigating employment and commercial matters in state and federal courts, including Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Florida, and Louisiana.
Andy received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Baylor University, qualifying for departmental honors. He received his law degree from the William H. Bowen School of Law of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He graduated with honors and was a member of the UALR Law Journal, serving as an editor.

Following law school, Andy joined the Little Rock office of the Friday, Eldredge & Clark law firm, where he became a partner in the firm’s Labor, Employment and Health law section. In 1998, he became a shareholder in the McFall Law Firm, which merged with Ogletree Deakins effective January 1, 2000 to become the firm’s Dallas office. Andy left Ogletree Deakins for a short while to practice as a principal at the Dallas litigation boutique Fisher, Holmes and Turner, P.C. There he continued his employment practice (representing plaintiffs and defendants), and he expanded his practice to include commercial and probate litigation. Andy has for many years been recognized by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the field of labor and employment law.
